Top 11 Favorite Web Series!
This list was REALLY hard to make, and even made me consider making this a top 15 or even top 20 list. But nope, I decided to limit this to 11, for, some reason. Just remember, these are the best of MANY years of being on the internet, so every show on this list is really good.
Trust me, I would've loved to put all of these shows as number 1, because I essentially like them all the same (kinda), but, because I need to put them in a list form, I had to pick apart the shows, and really judge them that way.
Also, I will be putting ALL my nominees for this list in the honorable mention list.
I'm also thinking about making this a scheduled thing. I enjoy making Top 10s, and I have quite a few I can make. So yeah. Enjoy?

11. Camp Camp
(Playlist)
When I originally had the idea to make this list, this was the first show that came to mind, as I was watching it at the time:/. When RoosterTeeth released the trailer, I was actually excited, mostly just because it was a new original show, but also the animation/art style, accompanied by the choice of setting and characters, looked to be a good little show that I could get behind, and it most surely was. The choice of voice actors was the first thing I noticed, in a good way. Even though I know pretty much all the actors are well into their 20s and above, something about putting the character's faces with their voices makes it easier to believe that the voices actually match. The characters were enjoyable, and I appreciated the individual episodes that developed each one of them. The camp setting really grew on me for some reason, and I loved the visuals of the backgrounds, and how the plots actually incorporate the setting, which is something I always appreciate in stories. The only reason this is number 10, is honestly just because I enjoyed the other entries more, because I can't really think of any flaws, except for the fact there's been no news about a season 2 yet.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. Halo: Butt Buddies
(Playlist)
This show instantly gave me an Arby 'n' the Chief vibe, and I think it was supposed to, as there are multiple references, and uses of the soundtrack throughout the show. When I discovered this show, there was only 3 episodes up, so I'm glad I was able to enjoy the wait between episodes, which is something I hadn't done in a while. I almost immediately grew to like, and enjoy watching the characters, not only the main three, but all the other side characters, and one-offs they encounter throughout the season. I like that all of the characters are realistic in terms of what you see on online gaming. Personally, the episode 'REQ packs' is my favorite episode, and if something like that appears in Season 2 *cough*, then it's safe to say I'm excited.

9. Eddsworld
(Playlist)
Re-watching this show gave me tons of nostalgia, because this was essentially the show that got me into web series, and just Youtube in general. I began watching this right after WTFuture, and had to go back to watch the classics, and even those were enjoyable. The death of Edd actually hit me hard, as I was still of a younger mind, and the idea of death was finally starting to dawn on me. The new animation style from Paul ter Voorde was a good shift, and something I easily got used to. I'll admit, the return of Tord made me actually geek out, as he was my favorite character from the show. The final two episodes were really well done, and I'm still hopeful about more episodes in the upcoming future.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Spriggs
(Playlist)
This show was one of the first shows I ever watched on Youtube. The first episode I watched of this show, was the series finale:/ Of course I went back and watched the entire '14' episode show afterwards, and a small part of me is still hoping for a Season 2, which I know is a false hope at this point. The Willy and Spriggs 'arc' was easily the most enjoyable thing about the show when I first watched it, but I have since re-watched it, and I actually care more about the other characters, and conflicts going on. The nostalgia of the show was also a treat to re-experience.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Destiny Cops
(Playlist)
The way I found this show is looking up Destiny machinima tutorials, and almost all of them mentioned this show. So I gave it a watch, and I'm glad I did. Because of my love of Destiny, I automatically liked it, but the story, characters, and use of the little Machinima controls that the game gives you, made the show really stand out to me. I actually found myself enjoying the villain characters, even though they do have the names of Felix Navidad, and Tinsel. I am eagerly waiting for Season 2, and to see where the story goes from where it left off, with Tragus and Winters being fired, and (hopefully) find out what happened to Tinsel.
(Update 6/5/2017: Moved DC from #9 to #7. P.S. Holy Crap episode 1 of S2 was FANTASTIC. Really well done. I'll pay top dollar for that wonderful soundtrack)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Khonjin House
(Playlist)
I actually just found this show a couple weeks ago, and I love it. I instantly feel in love with the randomness and unique design of the show. Due to the shortness of the episodes, I was able to watch the entire 50 episode show in an hour and twenty minutes. The surprising shift from the random plots to the interesting story toward the end of the show. There's honestly something else about his show, that I can;t put my finger on, that I really enjoy, and I wish I could say more about it, but as I said earlier, the show isn't that long, and I just found it recently, so yeah, watch it, it deserves more views anyway. Also, buy the soundtrack if you get the chance, it's worth it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. The Unsociables
(Playlist)
At this point in the list, almost all the following entries can be rearranged, and it would still be 'correct'. This was one of the first Reach machinimas that I ever watched. The pure randomness of the show, but also the somewhat cohesive consistency as well, and the use of various video game/movie soundtracks made me adore this show. All the various main, and side characters work together to make an actual, somewhat believable comedy show, and is a show I definitely find myself quoting from time to time. This is probably the angriest I've been about a show's cancellation, as I will probably be without a proper ending forever:(. Watch this show. The creator also has several other machinimas available, so check 'em out, and maybe we can finally get a proper conclusion to this show.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Dick Figures
(Playlist)
My second favorite duo belongs to this show. I started watching this show at probably too young of age, and definitely too young to understand the jokes. I remember me and my friends funding the money, and talk about the show constantly at school, and quoting various lines from the show, which actually got a few of us in trouble. The show itself was, and is still a blast to re-watch, and is actually one of the shows that I can call 'timeless' (part of the time). This is one of the shows that made me get into music development. Red, Blue, and all the other characters, accompanied by all the various adventures, soundtracks, and seamless animations, make the show, and movie, all the more enjoyable, and a great time whenever I do find myself going back to watch it again. Also, we actually got a proper ending. Even though it's not the greatest ending, at least it's something.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Rise of the Spartans
(Playlist)
Now for possibly the longest machinima series on this list, RotS!. This show was the most hyped at my school among people who actually knew about Halo. Part of what made this show great, was after the long waits between episodes, we got 1+ hours of well written, beautifully filmed, highly intense, drama. The cliffhanger endings were some of the only cliffhangers that never made me mad, because, again, there was likely 2 hours before that ending, and the cliffhangers were always at the perfect moment, and done really well. The April fools trailers were great intermissions between episodes/movies. Even though the entire soundtrack is copyrighted stuff, the choice and placement of said tracks helped the story in tremendous ways, and especially in part 8, was actually one of the first times I cried during any forms of media ever. (That and part 5). This is one of the shows I will always call machinima's glory days, and makes me ever sadder that the machinima community is pretty much dead, aside from some. Also, the way the characters, and conflicts are developed, make it believable as part of the actual Halo lore, even though it's clearly not, as stated in the beginning of each episode.
(The fact that the episodes, with millions of views, were deleted, and posted on a different channel, will forever baffle me:/ )

2. Arby 'n' the Chief
(Season 1-7: Playlist) (Season 8: Playlist)
Bet you expected this to be number 1, because I did as well. If you didn't read my most recent post, then I'll sum it up. This show changed my life, and I will forever be grateful that I found this show. Aside from that, the show itself is incredible. The first 3 seasons were good, but only in the fact that the comedy was incredibly, and has that '2009 internet vibe'. Seasons 4 was a great bridging point to an actual story being developed in this show. Season 5 and 6 was about were I officially hopped into the show, and it was incredible. The 'shit list' was a really good story arc, and I felt had an equally as satisfying ending to wrap up the story in a bright, happy way. So I thought season 7 was gonna be more of the same, and just as happy.
Boy was I wrong.
Season 7 has pedophilia, sadism, existentialism, and teenage suicide. As a 'youngster' this stuff was traumatizing. Arbiter and Chief's internal struggles, and their conflict with Eugene's clan were climactic, and the great music accompanying the scenes, make for engaging episodes, and season 8 is pretty great too, which made me appreciate the fact that I've picked up subtle cues in stories, and the fact that I've seen earlier seasons, as it draws back to many jokes from back in the day. So PLEASE watch this show, and maybe consider even donating to the creator, Jon CJG, on Patreon. (I'm just putting the word out there.)

(Season 1-5: Playlist) (Season 6-8: Playlist) (Season 9 & 10: Playlist) (Season 11-13: Playlist)
(Season 14: Playlist)
What a surprise. The show that actually got me into machinima, and the internet as a whole, is number one. This show has so many memories, of me and my brother sitting in front of the computer screen, watching the new episodes as they released, and has almost all of my favorites, such as favorite villain (Locus), and favorite fight scene (S8's 'Ice Fight'). While my hopping on point was season 7, going back to watch the originals made everything make so much sense.
I took notice, and appreciated the consistent patterns throughout the show, like no cliffhangers on trilogy finales, and saying 'son of a bitch' before a character dies. The story arcs, and various character arcs blend together nicely, and is remarkably coherent with earlier seasons, even though it wasn't planned that far ahead. Also, the comedy is good and all, but I find myself enjoying the drama more, especially in later seasons. I almost feel bad for putting this on the list, as this is a high budget, studio production, but it's a series, on the web, so it counts. I might have another post, dedicated to RvB, because I promised to cut down my lists somewhat. I almost have a few lists in the works dedicated to RvB. so, stay tuned for those. This show is great. If you live under a rock and haven't watched it, watch it. :D
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, that's the list. Besides the difficulty of actually forming the list, typing my thoughts about each show was really enjoyable, beats speaking anyway. I do have some more lists in the works, and I'm still forming that '2017 calendar'. So thanks for reading. Share you thoughts/opinions/criticisms, and stay gold (shoutout to who gets that reference).
